If you are looking to create or update your strategic plan and want someone to facilitate the process, Exotek is here to help. Many of our clients find managing the process itself as well as participating in that process is often difficult. It can distract you and your leadership team from fully immersing yourselves in the task at hand which is developing and honing the strategic plan itself.

The Process

We start with a two-day engagement to help you formulate or update your current strategic plan. It is good to have an overall strategic planning and execution methodology. For instance, we often recommend that our clients consider implementing the methodology described in Traction by Gino Wickman.

As part of his ‘Entrepreneurial Operation System’, he provides a Vision and Traction Organizer to assist your strategic planning process. In the first part, he guides you through establishing your:

  • Core values
  • Your Focus
  • Your 10-year target.
  • Your strategy of how to get there

To achieve these desired outcomes, you then create:

  • 3-year picture – more tangible objectives which are the steppingstones to your future.
  • 1-year plan – specific goals that you need to accomplish in the next year.
  • Rocks (priorities) and Issues

Strategy to Execution

We facilitate your efforts to make the right choices about your company’s purpose, your customers, your goals, and your resources. It isn’t a single event, but rather an integral part of an on-going process that you review annually, then modify as needed, and use throughout the year to drive your organization forward.
